There are over six billion people on this planet and it's hard to belive that every one of them is a unique individual. Now I have not met every one of the them but I have traveled far and wide and can tell you for a fact that they are ALL individuals.

The best part of all of us is that part that makes us unique. Trying to capture that part is what I strive to do in a portrait session. I have been photograhping people for over a decade, from Native Americans in North Dakota to nomads in Tibet as well has hundreds of young people in the Milaukee area and the diversity is amazing. You know that your child is unique, and you want pictures to remember them at that moment forever.

I studied cultural antropology in college but couldn't stay out of the art building. After receiving my degree in art, I used it to continue my investigation of the human being: the most beautiful and interesting thing we will ever experience. Trying to capture this on film is not always easy as those with kids and cameras can attest to. My background is what makes me great at what I do. Understanding light and cameras is just as important as understanding people and emotion.

Being a new parent leaves me in awe of the innocent beauty of babies. They are you and yet they are themselves. Their unfamiliarity with the camera often makes for some of the most intimate and meaningful portraits of one's life. Not to mention they don't stay one size very long.

Kids have almost more personality than they can contain. Once they are over that initial shyness, their inhibitions are gone and they do things we adults have long forgotten how to do.

Seniors have learned who they are and what they like. They are still full of curiosity and ambition but their look is their own. They know how to look good and the right pictures can make them look even better.

Thank you for taking the time to consider me as your photographer and please know that I am 100% dedicated to your satisfaction

Photography is a way of telling a story. And what is a story if nobody can "read" it. The money you spend should get you the pictures or albums to tell that story instead of a large session fee, travel fee, etc. That's why I try to keep my session fee as low as possible. I want the money you spend on these memories to be something you can hang on your wall, view in an album or show to others in any way possible.

An investment of $99 covers the session fee for babies, children or seniors. A $300 minimum print or album order follows. You can spend this much elsewhere and still have nothing to tell the story.

All images are processed and retouched. The proofs are made available for you online.

Prints can be made in any size and can be ordered individually or in packages. They are many finishes to choose from as well as canvas gallery wraps. All prints are made by a professional lab on the highest quality materials.

I believe the best way to tell a story is a book. Albums are available for almost any style, size or budget. Simple coffee table books to unique mini purse size books to leather bound handmade heirlooms.

Custom frames, greeting cards and other items are available. Check out Standouts for a great way to hang an image dramatically with out the added cost of a large frame.

How do I book you?

If you would like to book me, just contact me from this site and let me know what you're looking for. I will contact you for a consultation call a week or so before the session. We can work out a time and date that works best from that point. I prefer outdoor natural light but indoor with large windows works too. Natural indoor light is best for babies. Generally, early in the day or late is better than midday. Kids are often happiest in the morning.

What happens during a session?

A session will last between 1 and 2 hours. We will meet either at the desired location or at your house. I may bring an assistant to help with lighting. Having some toys or props ready is important. Color coordinated outfits should be ready as well. We can discuss which and how many outfits in the consultation call. Plan to have fun and be spontaneous. I want the kids to be themselves while I guide them for lighting and background. I will pose them sometimes and sometimes I keep it more candid. (seniors are posed for most of the session).

How do I order?

You (and anyone else you wish to share the proofs with) can order online and have prints sent directly to you or you can view the proofing page and contact me directly to talk about the images and place an order.

When do I pay?

The session fee is due at the session and the print balance can be paid after receiving the prints.

Why should I choose you?

The quality of my images are second to none in the Milwaukee area. I charge significantly less than a similar quality photography because I don't have to maintain the expense of a studio. I'm fun and easy to work with. I stand behind my work and guarantee your satisfaction.
